Urgent: A collegue named Obbo Freyihun Abebe Gaja'a was arrested by
Federal police forces here at Yebello. He is a head of Rural Roads for
Borana and Guji zones. He is an enginner by profession. He is arrested
simply because he is an Oromo intelectual. He was arrested on Monday
(12 February) at four O'clock in the morning and his house was checked
by ficve Federal policemen and 2 policemen at Yabello. On the same date
he was taken to unknown place (but said to Finfinne) by police car. He
is a beloved and popular guy to the local community and the
pastoralists in botyh zones.
